Why were Ishmaels friends teasing him about? Have you ever been in that situation. What did your friends tease you about? Ishmaels friends were teasing him and telling him the nurse was his girlfriend, because she used to go visit him a lot. No I never been in a situation like this.
What did the nurse tell Ishmael about them being friends? The nurse told Ishmael that as long as they were friends she was going to be taking him to the city every weekend.
When he was talking to the nurse he was quiet in the beginning, and he stated he didn’t trust anyone in his life. Why does he feel this way? Give me examples. Ishmael doesn’t trust no one in his life because he been thru so much in life and his sick minded all ready.

What was Esther’s response to Ishmael’s story? Esters response to Ishmaels story was in a shocking way, she didn’t believe he had went thru all that and he was just a kid.
Why didn’t Esther want Ishmael taking the walkman with him? Esther didn’t want Ishmael taking the walkman with him everyone at the juvenile detention was going to fight for it and it was going to get broken or lost.

What stood out the most of this story was that everyone could complete their methods, because such a little boy in the poorness went from town to town walking and not eating till he found shelter and at the end even found his family at the city.

What did Ishmael see when he tried to remember his child hood? Ishmael saw himself and his little brother and friends having fun at school and when they used to play and were scare of violence.
Explain his surgery, how did the doctors fix him up. Detail Ishmael was taking inside a house during the war fight and then was retreated to the camp were he had his surgery there and the doctor lay him in a bed and took out the bullet which it was really painful.
